Marvelous

I must say, as intimidating as drawing digitally is, this one came out much better than I expected.  The background is just simple shapes, but that's because I am more concerned with drawing characters at the moment than I am working on my background skills (of which I admittedly have none)

Here, we have two Marvelous ladies from Marvel Comics.  On the left, we have Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel.  On the right, Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel (and formerly Ms. Marvel).  

Kamala is an Inhuman, meaning that she is a human infused with Kree DNA that made her gain super powers when it was activated.  The powers vary from Inhuman to Inhuman (kinda sounds like Mutant powers, doesn't it?).  For Kamala, that power is shapeshifting.  She especially likes to play with her size, and usually by expanding individual body parts.  Hence her "Popeye arm." Kamala is a new hero to the Marvel U, eager to be a force for good while keeping her identity secret.

Carol is superpowered because of an accident infusing her with Kree DNA, but not in the same process as an Inhuman.  She has a variety of powers, including flight, super strength, energy projectiles, energy absorption, and even more.  She also is very experienced; she was a hero as Ms. Marvel for years, and before that was a member of the US. Air Force.  She recently adopted the Captain Marvel title, and that's one thing that prompted Kamala to adopt the Ms. Marvel moniker for herself out of respect and fandom.

This piece was fun.  I may do more on it, but, for now, I think I'm done.  Perhaps if I ever want to venture into the realm of coloring, I will start here.  For now, I just want to get used to drawing with the tablet and determine if the purchase was worth it.  After this experience, I'm feeling positive.
